GEOLOGY
Amber forms when resin from pine trees ends up in the salty sea waters and are found on the seabed. It may contain fossilised prehistoric insects trapped within. Amber is often imitated by plastic but can be distinguished as real specimens float in salty water and smell of pine when heated.
Born in countries of the Baltic Sea including Denmark, Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, and Sweden.
